Seeing this Light

Located in the sometimes treacherous open water of Lake Superior, approximately 50 miles north of Marquette, and 23 miles southeast of Manitou island, Stannard's Rock Light is virtually inaccessible to all but the most seasoned mariner. There are two charter boats services of which we are aware that take trips out to circle "The Rock. Uncle Ducky Charters offers trips to Stannard's Rock, Granite Island and Marquette harbor for $120.00 per person. Click here to visit the Uncle Ducky website. Shelter Bay Charters offers trips out to The Rock and also offers other tours customized to suit your needs. Click here to visit the Shelter Bay Charters website.
